  • Should I be worried about my boyfriends new female friend? Am I being paranoid?

My boyfriend of 4 years went away to university. The first time I came to visit him was after 3 weeks was on our anniversary, and I met his roommate 'B'.
That night, we went out clubbing and 'B' kept on trying to spend time with my boyfriend. She asked him to look after her for the whole night because she was drunk, and half way through the night, she drunk more, so we ended up spending our anniversary night looking after her. When we got back to uni in the night, she asked him to fix her laptop for her and he did it instead of going bed with me. Afterwards, she said 'You are my hero, i dont know what i would do without you, my life would probably be a mess'.

Every time I come to visit him, she doesn't look at me at all, and ive noticed that she was trying to exclude me from their conversation. She is overly attention seeking. She keeps on interrupting our conversations, not letting me and my boyfriend talk by asking him to roll her cigarettes (because shes too drunk), to hung up her coat for her (even though she was closer to the hanger than him), give her a rizla, lighter, filter, tobacco 20 times a day.

My boyfriend does not think she is trying to get in the way of our relationship. He said I am being paranoid and thinks she is a sweet girl and said that he enjoys spending time with her.
The way she is acting around my boyfriend makes me feel uncomfortable. Do you think I should be worried?

If you trust your boyfriend, you shouldn't be worried about his female friend. I know you won't like your boyfriend to chase away all your male friends from you just because he's in a relationship with you. So, accept what your boyfriend has with her and stop losing your head over this matter.

If you aren't comfortable with your boyfriend being around her, you need to stop him from seeing her. Let him know he has to stop seeing her or risk losing you.
