Guy friend suddenly ignoring and being rude to me?

There's this guy who I've been friends with in college and he's in a relationship. He likes talking to me and hanging out with me and so do I. Lately, I haven't been in the best mood, but I haven't told him about it because I didn't want to worry him. I'd usually make eye contact whenever I'd speak to him. But because of my mood, I haven't been giving many people any eye contact whenever I'd talk to them, including him. The last time we've been together, which was a few days ago, he'd hardly look at me. As he was passing out papers to a group of us for a project, he knew that I was there because he was sitting right next to me. He purposely skipped me as he was handing them out to people. Then, he said sorry when he "realized" that I didn't have one. He did the same thing to me again while he was passing out another set of papers. In the group discussion, whenever I'd talk to him, he'd reply in a monotone and wouldn't say too much to me. But, if some other person were to talk to him, he would talk normally or cherry and he'd have more to say to them.

Your bad mood gave him the wrong impression about you. He felt you were ignoring him and so decided to start ignoring you as well. So, I'll advice to have a talk with him and probably apologize to him.

If you know you treated him badly during the times you weren't in the best mood, then you need to find a way to apologize to him. Also, make sure you do it face-to-face and not over the phone.
