    hi everyone

hope yous are going ok, going to put this here as its covering more than one area.

    1. most of you know that most new cars have apple carplay or you can buy a headunit with it for older cars and swap it out.

have a old car with no apple car play and plan to add a apple carplay headunit to have apple car play for maps and the usual features and touch screen but head unit is about $600-$700 minimum plus have to spend another $600 on the trim and intergration for that kind of car.

will be adding it but cant really afford it at moment, what are ways to have apple car play until you can afford the parts needed and have something upto date.

like the car that have got and cant afford another one just yet and not going to get enough money from current car so will be hanging onto it, guessing thats another reason why people these days dont wait until a car is completely dead before getting another and instead start thinking of another one as soon as they know its time ( a bit like jobs and why older generations stayed in jobs they didnt like until they couldnt).

do understand todays working age people dont like inconveniences and want latest tech they can.

what could you do about car play until you can afford the in dash parts, car also needs alot of other work too and it feels outdated a little and adding the aftermarket tech will make a huge difference.

with those portable apple car play screens is it possible to get one that bluetooths to cars stereo and you bluetooth phone to screen or bluetooths to stereo at same time as your phone is so when using maps the voice is going through cars speakers at same time as radio or a usb stick in stereo is playing and still mute all audio if someone calls then if wanting to listen to music or podcasts then switch to bluetooth audio.

was thinking for the old weekend car (not daily driver) of getting one of those portable car play screens and bluetooth phone to that and if someone rings do the old fashioned turn down stereo volume and back up again when call is finished but have speaker on screen up enough so maps give direction while stereo is playing wether listening to radio or tape or cd but if wanting to listen to usb or bluetooth audio get one of those aux tape adaptors and play audio through that so the stereo looks original in a old classic but hidden new tech.

    2. what other options are there for finding girls (over 18) to go out with, last time pretty much was in 2005 which was 18 years ago when taking a cousin to a school formal and have waited 18 years longer than a lot of todays generation of working age people would be happy to wait.

how do you ask a friend or someone you know or a friend of those people to spend time with you or if they know someone, seem to be having no end of trouble finding girls.

dont have hundreds on a escort to have company every time and its just hard when you dont really have anyone, usually a escort in south australia would pretend to be your girlfriend then you can usually have fun and not advertise and just the 2 of you consent if you see what it means..

would there be a way to ask someone out and how do you find out if theyre single without asking.

what would be a short term solution until things get better.

you see girls around similar age to you dressed up and makes you realise what you want to do and youre trying to do what baby boomers did and try and do your best with what you have until things get better.

also sister is moving to city in a few weeks and will have no one plus car needs at least a couple of the things done to feel comfortable taking it.

oneday may dress up a little with the younger sister at some point oneday when parents go camping and she stays home and its just us, how would you make that happen.

    3. could you have 2 or more operating systems on a computer with separate hdd or partitions so you can use windows 10 but also use a older operating system to play older games that don’t work with newer system.

    4. heard that windows 10 will no longer be supported in 2025-2026? Am wondering if it’s ok to keep using windows 10 or is there a chance that you can make windows 11/12 look exactly like windows 10 but have the modern features, how do you get windows 10 taskbar and menus in 11/12, is it worth upgrading to windows 11 or hang on until 12 comes out.

the new to me laptop runs 11 fine, have tried 11 but couldn’t work it out so went back to 10 for now so what’s chance of it running 12, laptop has 500g ssd and will have 12 gig memory.

    5. When building a retro emulation machine is hdd ok or should you go ssd and what would be minimum space needed to have all nintendo and atari games loaded.

    6. could you mod a wii.

It's great that you're taking the time to think about your life and what you want to achieve.

Let's start with your first question about Apple CarPlay. I completely understand your situation - you want to upgrade your old car with modern tech, but it's not feasible at the moment. Adding an Apple CarPlay headunit can be expensive, and it's not something you can afford right now.

One possible solution is to consider portable Apple CarPlay screens that can Bluetooth to your car's stereo. This way, you can still enjoy the benefits of Apple CarPlay without breaking the bank. You can connect your phone to the screen via Bluetooth, and the screen will connect to your car's stereo. This setup will allow you to use maps, listen to music, and even take calls while driving.

Another option is to look into aftermarket solutions that can integrate Apple CarPlay into your car's existing system. These solutions might be more affordable than buying a new headunit, and they can still provide you with the features you want.

It's also worth considering that you might not need to spend a lot of money to get Apple CarPlay. You could try looking for deals or discounts on headunits or portable screens. Additionally, you could consider buying a used or refurbished headunit, which can be a more affordable option.

Regarding your car's outdated feel, adding modern tech can definitely make a big difference. Not only will it make your car feel more modern, but it can also increase its resale value. So, even though it might seem like a luxury, it's definitely worth considering.

Now, let's move on to your question about finding girls to go out with. I understand that it's been a while since you've been on a date, and it can be tough to know where to start. One thing to keep in mind is that it's okay to take things slow and focus on building connections with people.

Instead of trying to find someone to go out with right away, why not try to focus on building friendships with people? You could try joining clubs or groups that align with your interests, volunteering, or even taking classes. This way, you'll be meeting new people and building connections in a more natural way.

When it comes to asking someone out, it's all about being confident and respectful. You could try asking a friend or acquaintance if they'd like to grab coffee or go for a walk. Keep it casual and low-key, and make sure to respect their decision if they say no.

It's also important to remember that it's okay to be single. You don't need to be in a relationship to be happy or fulfilled. Focus on building your own interests and hobbies, and the right person will come along when the time is right.

Regarding your sister moving to the city, it's great that you're thinking about how you can spend time with her. Why not try planning a fun activity or outing that you can do together? You could try going for a hike, trying a new restaurant, or even just hanging out at home and watching a movie. The important thing is to spend quality time together and make memories.

Now, let's talk about your question about having multiple operating systems on a computer. Yes, it is possible to have two or more operating systems on a computer, either on separate hard drives or partitions. This can be useful if you need to use older software or games that aren't compatible with newer operating systems.

To set this up, you'll need to create separate partitions on your hard drive and install each operating system on its own partition. You can then choose which operating system to use when you start up your computer.

Regarding Windows 10, it's true that Microsoft will be ending support for it in 2025-2026. However, this doesn't mean you need to upgrade to Windows 11 right away. You can continue to use Windows 10 until you're ready to upgrade.

If you do decide to upgrade to Windows 11, you can customize the interface to look more like Windows 10. You can change the theme, add back the Windows 10 taskbar, and even customize the menus to look more like Windows 10.

As for building a retro emulation machine, it's generally recommended to use an SSD instead of an HDD. This is because SSDs are faster and more reliable, which is important when running older games.

The minimum space needed to store all Nintendo and Atari games will depend on the specific games you want to emulate. However, a good rule of thumb is to have at least 1TB of storage space. This will give you enough room to store all the games you want, as well as any additional files or saves.

Finally, regarding modding a Wii, it is possible to do so. However, it's important to be careful when modding any console, as it can void the warranty and potentially cause damage to the system.

To mod a Wii, you'll need to install a custom firmware on the console. This will allow you to run homebrew games and apps, as well as emulate older games. However, be sure to follow instructions carefully and only use reputable sources for your mods.

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors! Remember to take things one step at a time, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

It sounds like you have quite a few things on your mind, so let's tackle each question one by one.

      1. Apple CarPlay on a Budget:
Adding Apple CarPlay to your car can be a game-changer, but the cost can definitely add up. One budget-friendly option could be using your smartphone's navigation and audio features alongside a car phone holder or mount. Many mounts allow you to position your phone conveniently for navigation while still being able to hear directions and calls through your car's speakers via Bluetooth. You can also connect your phone directly to your car stereo using an auxiliary cable for audio playback.

As for those portable Apple CarPlay screens, they typically connect via Bluetooth or USB. However, getting the audio to play through your car's speakers while the screen handles the visuals might require some tinkering with your car's audio settings. It's possible but may not be as seamless as a fully integrated system.

      2. Meeting New People and Dating:
It's understandable to want companionship and to meet new people. One way to start is by expanding your social circle through shared interests or activities. Consider joining clubs, classes, or online communities related to your hobbies or passions. This can increase your chances of meeting like-minded individuals, including potential romantic interests.

When it comes to asking someone out, honesty and respect are key. If you're interested in someone, you can start by inviting them to join you for a casual activity or coffee. Keep the invitation friendly and open-ended, allowing them to respond comfortably. As for determining their relationship status, you can often glean clues through casual conversation or social media, although it's always best to confirm directly if you're unsure.

Regarding your sister moving to the city, staying connected and supporting each other during this transition can strengthen your bond. Perhaps you can plan visits or outings together to explore her new surroundings and create shared memories.

      3. Multiple Operating Systems on a Computer:
Yes, it's possible to have multiple operating systems on a computer using separate hard drives or partitions. This allows you to keep Windows 10 for modern usage while setting up a separate partition or drive for an older operating system, such as Windows 7 or even a Linux distribution tailored for gaming compatibility.

      4. Windows 10 Support and Upgrades:
While Windows 10 will eventually reach the end of its support lifecycle, it's still safe to use until then, especially with regular updates and security patches. As for making Windows 11 or future versions look like Windows 10, there are customization options available. You can modify the taskbar, menus, and overall appearance to resemble Windows 10 while still enjoying the newer features and improvements.

If your laptop runs Windows 11 smoothly, there's a good chance it will handle Windows 12 as well, especially with its SSD and ample memory. When considering an upgrade, weigh the benefits of newer features against your familiarity and comfort with Windows 10.

      5. Building a Retro Emulation Machine:
When building a retro emulation machine, using an SSD can provide faster loading times and smoother performance, especially for older games that rely on quick data access. The minimum space needed depends on the emulated systems and games you plan to include. For Nintendo and Atari games, a 128GB SSD should suffice, but if you're looking to have a large library, opt for a 256GB or higher SSD to accommodate more titles.

      6. Modding a Wii:
Yes, you can mod a Wii to unlock additional features and capabilities. Modding allows you to run homebrew software, play emulated games, and customize the Wii's interface. However, keep in mind that modding may void warranties and could potentially lead to system instability if not done correctly. It's crucial to follow reputable guides and forums for safe and effective modding practices.

In summary, exploring budget-friendly options, expanding social circles, utilizing technology effectively, and being mindful of customization and compatibility can help address your various concerns and pursuits. If you need further guidance on any specific topic, feel free to ask!
