Been together about 5 years, we're in our early 30s, she's currently pregnant. I have an 11 year old from a previous relationship, who I have court ordered 50/50 custody of. I will always fulfil my responsibilities as a parent no matter what the situation is between me and its mom.
This weekend, my GF told me she was going to see her friend. Turned out she went to a Halloween house party. I don't know the people and wasn't invited. No social media stories either, which she always posts when she goes out with friends.
I found out because she came home late at midnight and I asked. At first she said there were just a few couples, then she said there was 10+ people, then she told me it was a house party for Halloween.
I'm hurt and confused. Every time she tells me she's seeing a friend I just say "OK have fun" and I don't question it. I wonder how many times she's kept stuff from me? How many people she hangs around that I don't know?
At first she said she doesn't know why she didn't tell me. 2 days later after me moving in to the spare room, she says she didn't tell me because she "thought I would be upset with her going". I have never stopped her going to any social events.
My trust is gone and I'm paranoid about all the previous things I haven't probed about. I've ordered a DNA paternity test, she's willing to do it. She has apologised profusely, she says she can't sleep or eat.
We have talked about it. No fighting, arguing, shouting, etc. I've calmly explained to her that the trust is gone, it's a deal breaker for me, and I don't think we can continue the relationship. She doesn't want to break up, and is love bombing me, trying to hug me, and all that.
We just moved into a new house on a 6 month lease as well, which will end by the time the baby is a month old. So we will co-habit and I'll look after her (for her baby) but no romance. If I so much as cuddle her once I'll fall back in and forgive.
